At boomApp we’ve developed a unique technology that is able to recognize millions of videos with a constant matching time under 5 seconds. This technological breakthrough allowed us to do a never before seen Augmented Reality for videos.
Video is the future of online and offline content, and being able to create a fast and immediate interaction is essential. Our technology allows the awaited interaction with a simple photo of the video.

Why now?
We are living the right time to create and explore interactive videos, people are always on their phones and TV (Netflix included) is always there. An interesting study from Google presented several conclusions:
Two-thirds of smartphone owners use their phones to learn more about something they saw in a TV commercial.
More than twice as many second screeners are searching for show-related info as are reading about it on social media.
Forget the remote; smartphones are becoming the essential TV-watching companion. People are using their second screens to search for info about what they’re watching — commercials included.
Why us?
We have a technology that is unique in the world. That is valuable but scary at the same time because you are the first to go to market and no one knows if it works or if there is a real need or even if it’s a solution to a problem. We believe it’s an actual solution because it’s just easier to point to a video - or image - and get extra info: it’s the future. I believe our technology is in this path described by Chris Dixon.
We were able to developed this technology because we are computer vision specialists. We have put together an amazing and enthusiastic team of engineers and brilliant minds with a high expertise in computer vision and mathematics to solve one of the biggest challenges in computer vision: scalable and (really) fast video recognition.
For the past 2 years we have developed a proprietary algorithm that can search and find a video within a database with millions of videos in less than 5 seconds even when recorded from a low quality smartphone camera of someone with shaky hands.
